Design Philosophy

Kootenay Motorcycle Art bikes are designed from an emotional approach paying close attention to proportion and detail.

The modern materials and processes available to designers today mean there’s now a great deal of artistic freedom, but if the basic proportions are wrong, there is no stylistic creativity that will ever be able to repair the damage.

To really get the right bike for each customer we like to spend some time getting to know the individual, so their personality can be seen and an image of what they personally should be riding can be conceived. The emphasis is always on riding and enjoying what you’re riding. We’re not interested in building custom bikes that will end up spending most of their life in a trailer or museum with no valid licence plate on them.
